It’s that time of year again—suitcases in the hallway, beach towels over the porch rail, road trip playlists, and the scent of sunscreen in the air. I know many of you are traveling this summer—off to visit grandkids, explore new places, or rest by the water (my Aussie shepherds would certainly vote for the beach!). But even as we scatter near and far, I want to remind you of something sacred: we are still on this journey together.
This summer, we are walking through the Gospel of John—a gospel rich with imagery, meaning, and invitation. And just like any good journey, it’s not only about where we’re going, but how we travel—what we notice, who we walk beside, and what we’re learning along the way. Whether you’re worshiping in person or tuning in from a campground or cabin, my prayer is that this series helps all of us stay connected to God and to one another.
The Gospel of John is all about seeing Jesus more clearly—and seeing ourselves more honestly in his light. So wherever your summer takes you—whether to a national park, your back porch, or a quiet room with your Bible open—remember: the Spirit travels well. God goes with you. And your church family walks beside you in prayer.
Let’s stay connected. Let’s keep reflecting, wondering, worshiping. And may we all become more fully the people God imagined us to be.

Music

Music in Worship
We blend traditional hymns and contemporary music into our worship services, reading songs from hymnals or from the overhead screen. Music is a central part of our worship experience.

Choir Rehearsals are every Thursday evening from 7:30-8:30pm, under the direction of David MacMillan. The Choir prepares an anthem for every Sunday Worship and participates in a Christmas Cantata performed in conjunction with the Olivet Presbyterian Church Choir and a small hand-selected orchestra.

Contemporary Chorus Rehearsals are every Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. under the direction of Scott Duffey. The Chorus learns and teaches new songs for the whole congregation to sing along. Accompaniment is with guitars and piano. All ages are welcome, children through adults.
